Here's the comment that I posted on someone's comic on thier anti-pitbull blog:
I don't think this is very funny. I am a really funny person and enjoy humor alot, but I am also an animal welfare activist. And I have seen and read lots about Pit bulls and the abuses they go through. I think people should use thier intelligence and power and technology to keep dogs from attacking ethically without giving them such horribly bad raps. Trained pitbulls were once one of the most beloved compainions until media and horrible people ruined thier chances. They are now the worlds most abused dog breed in the world. I feel horrible for the people who were attacked, but other breeds have attacked before, and when people exaggerate the truth for one dog, it ruins lives for dogs that are born in the next generation. If people treated them like we would treat a Pomeranian, maybe there would be fewer attacks. There have been far worse deaths for pitbulls than any other dog ever. If people gave a bad rap like this to any other breed of dog, and layed off the pitts, we would be able to see what amazing companions they actually are. They are strong, willing animals that will do anything to please you, and they don't know that people are making up comic strips about them, and if they did, they would still give thier whole hearts for you, just the same as a german shepherd would.

People just don't care about the truth when they are given the chance to make millions. And people in the news business would lie and dramatize stories about abused, frightened, unsocialized, defensive dogs striking out on the one thing they know that is putting their lives at risk. People. The media people have families to feed, and would give the easter bunny or even something as helpless as a kitten a bad rap because they don't want to lose their jobs. It's our jobs as people to stand for what we believe and know is right, instead of letting the media confuse us into ridiculous stories. If you ever visit a dog fighting kennel, you will notice only aggression towards other dogs, but to people they cower in your presence. Pitbull terriers are known for their impressive loyalty and strength. They will do anything for you, and you can train them to do anything, including fighting other dogs brutally so their owners will win money.
Goodness do people get worked up over nothing! If you have a point of view which you think is correct, then you should stand up for it! I love hearing other people's opinions, but I do not like when they start to criticize you when you don't agree. If you don't want a Pitbull, don't get one! But I just wish people wouldn't start banning people with their calm family pet dog! Instead of saying, "I hate all pit
tbulls! I think anyone who owns one should be banished from our town! I don't care how sweet they are! I've heard stories, and I think they ALL should be DESTROYED!!!" They could change it to, "Gosh, I have been seeing a lot of things about pittbull attacks, so I don't think I would want one around my kids... But I sure am glad people are still willing to handle a dog with such a horrid reputation. If someone walks their pitt near my kids, I'll steer clear of them until they let me know he's safe!" Just, the point is, KEEP YOUR OPINIONS TO YOURSELF and if it's something as arguable war or animal rights or even human rights, protest politely! Don't be rude to the ones going against your opinion! Fight for what you think is right!
